Hello fellow AA members,

Was wondering if there is any development on jdk’s suggestion to increase the match day income for FC at Tuesday’s cup game.

I am willing to get up ‘early doors’ and pop some yen into the Donations pot, though I might not be at my perkiest (a blessed relief, some might say).

Well in better news I make that £85 collected by the AA in donations to FC, so far, from tonight’s called off screening. See you all Saturday!

From the official club website:

Tonight’s Emirates FA Cup match against Alfreton Town has been cancelled due to an Alfreton player testing positive with Covid-19.

We wish the player a speedy recovery and hope Alfreton are able to return to playing football as soon as possible.

Please pass on the message to other supporters that the match is cancelled. We will make an announcement regarding ticket and live streaming refunds as soon as possible via the usual channels.

Due to Alfreton having to withdraw from the match, FC United will receive a bye into the fourth qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, albeit not in a manner we would have wished for.

For once I've managed to get in before the K.O. only to find the match has been cancelled.
Hope the Alfreton Town player recovers quickly and the rest of the squad don't show symptoms.
So, still no footie and only more of this stop/start season to look forward to (hope not but seems likely).
Hope all of you AAers are keepin' safe and well; see y'all on Satdee for the game against Stafford Rangers
