And its GAME ON :D
Huge credit and thanks to Graham for the graft, dedication and skill to keep our pitch in such wonderful condition week after week.

Good morning my AA Chums from a dry but overcast a v cold South Notts.
Although winter is the time for bike fettling I've not much to report from the garage this week, other than the Raliegh moped silencer is currently soaking in a caustic solution in the utility room sink (Mrs C got used to such things many years ago .. bearings in the freezer, crankcases in the oven etc).
I am still riding the war dept bike to club nights despite freezings temperatures... not too good for the COPD but you have to keep buggering on.

Its apologies for absence from me today as I will be soon setting off to BP!
I've baked some mince pies for the radio crew (vegan of course!).

Anyway, less of this rambling, lets......

....BRING ON UNITED
Have fun today.

Hola all from another 20odd degrees in Southern Spain.
In and out today as some new fencing has to go up but will try and sit down for the 2nd half.
Davethecue and sonofscarf are there today :)
VAMOS LOS ROJOS

Reno’s notes from today’s prog:

Last Saturday was certainly a good day for the red side of Manchester!
After falling behind twice early on against Matlock, both goals coming from uncharacteristic defensive mix-ups, it was one of those where you wondered whether it just wasn’t going to be our day. However, we showed our resilience with another brilliant performance all over the park.
It’s hard to keep coming up with superlatives to describe Tunde’s performances; he just keeps on getting better and better.
That hat-trick really showed everything that makes him the player that he is.
I’m just glad that the third went in, as if it’d have hit someone in the SMRE, they’d have been on the way to A&E! The entire team are playing so well at the moment,
I could pick out any player on any given week for praise, but there are a couple of the younger lads that I particularly wanted to mention this week.
I’ve known Regan Linney for a number of years, since he came through the academy at Bamber Bridge. Some may not be aware that he missed most of last season through injury. It can take a while to get back to your best after such a long lay-off, but we’re really starting to see what Regan is capable of, and he was rewarded with another quality goal last week.
In amongst all the goals we’ve been scoring of late, it’s important not to forget the solid foundation we have at the back and in midfield, and Luke Griffiths is a huge part of that. For his age, he is so incredibly poised, and I’m certain he is going to be a star for years to come. You’ll be getting bored of hearing this from me, but the confidence and spirit in the dressing room really is so high.
It’s amazing how well this group has gelled, when you consider that most of these lads only met each other for the first time in pre-season.
The entire squad took themselves off to Glasgow after the match on Saturday for their Christmas night out. One thing that didn’t make it there was Pottsy’s wallet... not ideal, considering he was in charge of everything!
Luckily it had his FC membership card in it and was found in town by a very honest person who contacted the club to return it. I think it might take a while for him to live that one down in the dressing room though!
We come into today’s FA Trophy tie against Kettering Town on a great run of form. This is going to be a serious test for us, as we face higher-division opposition for the first time this season. Don’t be fooled by the Poppies’ league position;
they’ve been unbeaten since Paul Cox came in as manager in late October.
We all went along to watch their match at Curzon a couple of weeks ago, where they earned a point in what ended up being a real battle. They followed that up against title favourites York City last week, and were unlucky to only come away with only a draw.
I said a few weeks ago that we want to go as far as possible in every cup competition that we’re in, but this is obviously the big one.
Let’s keep this place rocking, like it has been the last few weeks, and we’ll be doing our utmost to ensure that we’re in the hat for the next round at 5pm today.
