Here we go again. Who knows what lies ahead?

I'm hoping to catch the end of this one.

Enjoy folks :)

I’m missing today due to a pressing engagement in the sun at Caister beach to celebrate the Jewish New Year (one of the two most religious days in the Jewish calendar). We’ve done this as we are shielding from Synagogue.

Regretfully, despite believing FC are a club which prides themselves on its supposed religious inclusivity, the club did not send wishes to its Jewish supporters today.

It is a sad fact borne out by the club’s Twitter feed and website that FC presently only sees fit to celebrate the major Muslim festivals and ignores the Jewish ones. Recently, for example, FC United celebrated Eid by preparing a specially designed graphic for Eid that was tweeted to supporters.

That such an approach is followed by FC is a fundamental breach of the Football Association’s published guidelines on inclusivity that are supposed to be followed when a club decides to celebrate religious festivals. This is because the FA wish to ensure that certain supporters do not feel marginalised by their clubs. Accordingly very comprehensive and sensitively prepared official guidance is given by the FA. Appropriate wording is provided for clubs which decide to go down the religious route.

In conclusion, FC can’t simply celebrate just the major Islamic festivals . FC MUST give EQUAL weight to celebrating the other World religions otherwise FC are in breach. Accordingly either all religions are given equal weight by FC or nothing should be celebrated. https://www.thefa.com/-/media/files/the ... 20-21.ashx

Hola from a wet, wet, wet Madrid where the C virus is wreaking havoc amongst the inner city areas.
Fortunately, I live 42 kms to the north and have no need, at the moment, to go down to town.
Plenty to do in the allotments and just spent the morning fixin' bikes in the Social Bike Workshop.
Let's hope FC bring us some good football and the FCUM Radio/TV crew some decent commentary.
BRING ON UNITED!!!

Hopefully a season full of joy, excitement, entertainin' football and a bucket full of goals.
Chances are, though, it'll be frustration, missed chances, disappointin' results and heartache.
Still, there'll be a few laughs along the way and a whole lotta drinkin' (and tapas).
Might even make a few new friends and get an opportunity to see a couple of matches from the SMRE.
Whatever happens this season, be sure that the AA will be behind then team...still in the pub with Vinny

I'd go with that but, personally, I'd just like to celebrate a few FC goals and maybe a couple of trophies ;)
